Ever needed to know where a lounge is located?
Whether you are a Priority Pass member or not, there is a free app available from Priority Pass that will help you find your way to over 600 lounges worldwide.
It’s called the Priority Pass Lounge Finder, and you can search for it by that name from iTunes or directly on the App Store in your iPhone. (Note: If you download it on iTunes you will have to connect and sync it to your iPhone.)
You will have to register the app with your name, email and Priority Pass member number if you have one. I have been registered since the app came out and have never received anything from them via email or otherwise from downloading the app. It takes a while to register since it also downloads lounge data at the same time, that way when you open the app it is ready to go and give you the most updated lounge listings available.
The app interface is pretty straight forward and easy to understand. Aesthetically its pretty clean and easy to read. At the top are the two main options, Find Nearest Lounge and Find a Lounge. The Find Nearest Lounge option uses your built-in GPS to locate the lounges that are in the airport nearest to you. The Find a Lounge option lets you select the Country you visiting, then the Airport, and then gives you the listing. This is good if you are going to several airports of if you can’t use your GPS.
Below is an example of lounge listings that you get with either of the first two buttons. You can then click on the lounge you are looking for to get the details.
Below is an example of a detailed listing, in this case for the Club at DFW, with hours, directions and a listing of amenities. You can click on the “i” symbol in the lower left corner of this screen to get a legend of what the amenities icons mean.
One final important thing is the Download Lounge Data button on the Home Screen of the app. Before you travel you want to be sure that you Download Lounge Data so that you have a complete and the most recent listing of lounges available. This is a manual process due to the fact that if you are traveling, which you most likely are, this will not cause you to incur expensive Data Roaming charges from your wireless provider.
